Resource Module

This module permits us to identify all the necessary resources to the ‘recreational’ environment. The word resource represents either a material resource (room, equipment) or a human resource (teacher, volunteer) or even the nature of the service that will be dispensed. Each resource can be classified organizationally and will have a status indicating its availability.

This module ensures the following:

• Data resource includes all the inherent information facility/time slot availability, equipment, human resource and services.
• Once we reserve a resource that holds underlying resources the latter will also be reserved. Therefore we can have an infinite number of levels and underlying resources.
• We can specify the reservation of a resource to prevent the reservation of another resource even though it does not have any hierarchical similarities.
• It’s possible to visualize the schedule of each resource in order to detect potential conflicts.
• The notion of a resource not only concerns a specific equipment identified (ex: by a serial number) but also the equipment in many copies (ex: chairs, balls…).
